All our activities are planned to support the National Curriculum for Early Years Development. In Pre-School we are working with local infant schools to provide a sound environment during the Early Years Foundation Stage. We are working towards the Early Learning Goals, using the development matters, in partnership with parents/carers and the local school. Our curriculum caters for the individual child, enabling them to learn at their own pace and ability.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is a collection of development matters leading to the Early Learning Goals, which most children should achieve by the end of the primary school reception year.
Seven Areas of Learning :
Personal, social and emotional development;
Communication and language;
Understanding the world;
Expressive arts and design.
Taken together, the seven areas of learning also provide opportunities to address important aspects of children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
The Curriculum for children during the Early Years Foundation Stage can be viewed at pre-school at any time.
